If Daughters Were Flowers With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone!
It's Lisa back this Wednesday sharing a step card made for Cheery Lynn Designs
I was thinking about the challenge this week "anything goes" and I all of the sudden became overwhelmed with so many ideas! Finally, I thought about the Victorian Picket Fence and Garden Gate. I could see it on the front of a step card, but what colors? I was digging and found this fun bright pink papers and it really worked for the look I was hoping to achieve. As I was finishing the card,  I wanted to offset the yellow flowers on the other side, so I used Bird Bath and all the tiny birds to go with it. Love the tiny birds. On the bottom, I used the Grass Border in lime green.

The Mirror Mirror Doily Frame has been on my wish list for a long time. I was so excited to bring it out for this fun spring/summer card. The Clouds and Rain are one of those diecuts that is a must have in your stash...Ive been using it quite a bit. :) The Daisy Flowers and Flourish Leaves were easy to put together and you will find it easy too.  I added little white pearls in the centers of the flowers for a finished flower. PS...I'm addicted to pearls too... :)

The sentiment was printed out on my computer and I used the inside diecut of the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame and inked the edges in pink. Here you can see the really amazing details of all the beautiful diecuts. Gosh, I always remind myself on how lucky I am to be part of this amazing team!

Kitty Heaven

Hi! So glad it is the weekend again! Yay!
Today, I'm sharing a new card that I made for a co-worker who was sadden to place her beloved kitty to rest this week. I felt so sad for her, but I do understand losing a pet myself recently. I bought this kitty stamp from Our Daily Bread and it is puuurrrrfect!

I used Cheery Lynn Designs clouds & grass and the opulent oval is from spellbinders. I wanted to add some pearls around the edge of the frame. The butterflies are from Heartfelt Creations stamps and matching diecuts. I think it is most used stamp set. LOVE

I only colored the flowers and stems with copics...someday still hoping to be able to use them the way they are meant to be...
The brown flowers are perfect too. I don't know who makes them...part of my stash from the scrapbooking yard sale.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you have a PUURRfect day!

Life's Storms With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, It's Lisa here this week sharing a manly card inspired by this week's challenge with Cheery Lynn Designs. I really dont make many man cards...but this week's challenge was a great inspiration to make some manly cards that I could really use in my stash!
I have been thinking about a theme for quite some time... I LOVE nautical cards....Perfect!

The Mayflower is amazing! As well as the Pierced Banner and the Ship's Compass. I distressed the compass in blue distressed ink on the edges and in the center.  I also added some copper brads on all the corners and one in the center of the compass. The copper colored brads match the sentiment perfectly.

I also wanted to add a bit of yarn and my son made me this cute little sailor knot. (Thank you Scotty)  The incredible ship and Compass really makes this card! I also wanted to add a bit more of the yarn throughout the card too. Behind the ship you can see a little bit of burlap.

Promise

Hello, everyone! Its Tuesday and it is weird for me to have this day off from the week? Hey, its col, hen I can scrap all day! Today, Im sharing a card that I made over the weekend, but didn't get a chance to upload it until today. The sketch is from Viva La Verve May Week #3. I kept it very basic because i wanted to focus on the sentiment and the butterfly. Lately, I have several friends and colleagues who have losing loved ones. So I love the sentiment thinking of all of them and also my recent lose of my beloved Louie.

I chalked and distressed the edges and used all scrap paper. I also added little bit of pearls on the edges and in the center. I used Cheery Lynn Diecut and a Spellbinder diecut.

A closer look the stamp set is from Verve.

The wonderful sketch!

My Anchor

Hello again! I'm sharing a card that I just finished this morning. It was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday # 397 sketch. I have been wanting to use this sketch all week! Finally, I was able to make it and enter the last day. I recently received my stamps from Verve and Im SO in LOVE with this nautical stamp set!

I dont make very manly cards but I really have been needing to make some. I added clouds and pierced banner diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs.

I also added some yarn in the background and a few silver brad stickers on the corners and in the middle of the wheel/helm.

A few pop dots underneath.
You can see spots of inked blue...
well, that actually was an accident on one side my fingerprint, so I added more throughout.
Funny how an accident can make it work out. :)

The fabulous sketch! Thank you!

Have a great Sunday!

Hippy Road Trip!

Hi everyone, Happy Sunday!
So today Im sharing with you a new card that I made for my youngest daughter who is leaving Arizona today for an extended road trip across the United States. Im sad for myself but happy for her...
She loves the hippy era and these diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs made it perfect for me to make the card.

I happened to have this old flower paper that worked so well. I used 4 diecuts from Cheery Lynn, Hippy Mobile, Grass Border, Garden of Love, and Pieced Stacker #4

A closer view. I diecut the Love out twice once in black and once in white and glued them together. I then used the negative of the white and placed it on a handmade bag to match. Sorry No Pic :(

Not too bulky...I gave it to her yesterday with some emergency road money gift card. She loved it and said it's going in the car on the dash. Be safe baby! Love you!

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate prayers for her and her girlfriend for a fun and safe trip!
Thank you!

Woof! Congratulations On Your New Puppy! With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, Its Lisa back today sharing with you a new card using lots of the "Pet Pack" and "Meow & Woof! Diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs. My inspiration came from my colleague who loves pink and has a little princess girl dog. The pierced banner along the side in pink I placed the "Woof" layered once in black and then diecut out again in white giving it a bit of a shadow. I also cut out the doghouse in pink and just the top of the doghouse in black and layered it together. A placed a pink Miniature Rose in the center just above the door opening. It is perfect for a girl doghouse. :)

Lots of layering of distressed pink and black papers. Then I placed the Fleur De Lis Doily in white for a bit more lacey and girly look. The paw prints are the smaller diecuts in white and I punched out a pink circle then glued it together. The dog bones are the 2 smallest ones and I added one to the top of the banner and one along the side of the doghouse.

The sentiment was printed on my computer and then diecut with the dog bowl in pink cardstock. I diecut the center of the dog bowl in white, cut it out and placed it on top. Both paw prints and the center of the the dog bowl have 3D lacquer for a little shiny glaze. The poodle was printed from my computer and I added lots of pearls and pop dots throughout.

Chocolate Cure

Happy Friday!
Today, Im sharing a new card that I made a few days ago for May Viva La Verve #1. I made a chocolate card last month but I don't love it like I should....lol So I wanted to give Chocolate another try this month. I seen this quote online and I thought it was a perfect to give to someone who is having a bad day.

I used my Zutter distrezz it all for the edges. The spellbinders diecuts are called Timeless Rectangles. The "chocolate" diecut is from Verve. Yummy!

I added cream pearls and stamped on the middle diecut. Had to make a chocolate bow too!  :)

May week #1 sketch! Love!

Have a great day and wonderful weekend!

Bundle of Joy with Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, Its Lisa back again this week with a super fast card to make for a baby or you can even make it a birthday card using 2 sheets of plain cardstock and 3 wonderful Cheery Lynn Diecuts. I chose to layer them on top of each other using 3 of the 4 largest Lords & Commons Boutique with pop dots in between each layer. Inspiration for this card came from this week's Lots of Layers Challenge and from my nephew having his first baby boy! So excited for his new family!

The card is a 5x6 in white cardstock, I then layered it with 4.75 x 5.75 light blue and distressed the edges. A light blue ribbon was attached to the center and then the largest Lords & Commons Boutique diecut on top. The following layers were diecut out the same and used with the Rectangle Frames for the perfect cut. On top I added the Celtic heart cut out once in blue and once in white then placed them together and stamped on the white center. Little blue pearls and a ribbon bow finished this card.

Here you can see the layers with the pop dots....Your friends with think you spent hours on this card when it only takes a few minutes! Gotta love that!

Shopping On Your Birthday!

Hi! Happy Cinco De Mayo!
Today, is my last day off before I have to go back to work...
Just love those 4 day weekends!
Today, I made a quick card for my colleague who loves Hot Pink and Shopping! So while I was browsing on pinterest I seen an adorable card that I "cased" over made by KittieKraft. You can see her beautiful card here. Thank you Kittie! I had a few changes and I also made my own gift bags.

On the sides of the bags they are creased and I just added flowers and pearls throughout. I made a hot pink triple double bow for in the center of the card. The edge diecut is from Cheery Lynn Designs called Curved Border Set and you can also see another diecut in the inside edge called Siena Double Edge Border. They are both so great and beautiful!

A closer view of the bags....The bag handle was cut on my cricut.
Don't forget the tiny pieces of tissue paper :)

The card is a little bulky, but Im giving this card in a small gift bag with a gift card.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Be safe and have a fun
Cinco De Mayo!

Aloha!

Aloha!
Last night, we had a major thunderstorm come though the valley. Lots of rain and today it is cooler but sticky...I started to think about the tropical islands. Instead of saying "Hello" I thought I would use "Aloha" instead and use some bright colors. I have this paper for years and today it was perfect for my tropical theme. The sketch is this month's Mojo Monday #396 Contest.

I wanted to really focus on the colorful paper so I used it on the inner rectangle too. The circle is from Spellbinders,  Splendid Circles and all the rest of the diecuts are from Cheery Lynn Designs. I used Fishtail Banners, Tropical Flourish, Gardenia Strip, and a new release Scandinavian Tag 2 that was the perfect diecut size to place above and below my title.

A closer view...I made the red flower because I didn't have the exact size or bright red flower that I wanted to use today. I also added little lines with a black marker to match the paper. A placed a small pearl in the center. The other teal/blue flowers were part of my big bag of flowers that I bought at the scrapbook rummage sale. :)

The fabulous sketch for this month's contest! I recently ordered some sequins and stamps from the Verve store....can't wait for the arrival!
Thank you!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Merci Beaucoup!

Hi! It's the weekend again! Yay!
It's also getting pretty warm here in the valley...high 90's! Yuk! So Im thinking blues for a cool down and also for this week's Cardabilities #122 sketch. I had a few ideas rolling around so maybe I will do another card with the same sketch. :) You can never have enough "thank you cards" but I thought using another yet common saying for thank you was a nice change.

I have had this light blue flower for quite some time and it was perfect to use today! I also made a couple of extra flowers to go underneath using Cheery Lynn Diecuts throughout the card...

I added some pearl swirls and a few in the left hand top corner. Lots of distressing papers using my zutter....makes it super fast... no room for ribbon today! lol

The amazing sketch! Merci Beaucoup!

Thanks for stopping by today! More to come this week!
Hugs Lisa
