Heartfelt Wednesday's *Song In My Heart*

Hello and Happy Heartfelt Wednesday!
Today I'm sharing with you a new card made for Heartfelt Creations this week.
I have been on a Valentine's Day card mood and so I wanted to make this Valentine card
using my favorite little doves called "brookside manor" with the matching diecut from
"garden romance". I also had to use the beautiful "timeless amour" diecut. It has such a beautiful
delicate border. If you love hearts then it is a sure must have diecut.
The sentiment is part of the NEW collection this month called "melodious songbird"
I sure thought it went well with my theme this week.

The papers are from K & Company that I bought at a local scrapbooking sale.
I also just love the "decorative labels eight" They are also so delicate.
I wish I knew how to use a sewing machine....but for now I just doodled around the borders.
I wanted to add a bit of texture, so I crimped all the hearts with my crimper.

I'm always one who tries to match all my colors together and I really don't use creams and whites together....but I seen it on other shabby chic cards and it seems to really work?
So I mixed them up and well....it sure does work well together....

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out more creations this week
hugs!

New collection called "countryside evening"
The papers are beautiful and the diecuts are so super elegant.
I usually use blacks or browns for many of my sentiments, but today I wanted it to match
my dicuts and papers.

Here is a side view....I added bitty blosom flowers, ribbon and bling to finish this card.

A closer view....hope the sentiment inspires you for this new 2013 year!

Cheer Up & Smile *Donna Salazar*

Hello my scrappy friends!
Its Lisa once more this month with a easy tutorial on how I get my sentiments on my cards and layouts.
I really don't like my handwriting that much because it is so BIG and loopy
...so I almost always used Microsoft for Word. It gives you sooo many more options of handwriting's.
If you never have tried it before here is your chance to start. :)
This is a 5 x 6 inch card using lots of diecuts, stamps and New papers by Donna Salazar.
I chose yellow because it reminds me of the sun and it seems to be a cheerful color when you are down.
The awesome diecuts and stamps from "snapshot" makes you want to smile right???

Here is the inside...I don't do many insides ahead of time....but I just love this quote from the famous
Scarlett O'Hara...one of my favorite classic movies.

So lets get started!
First, pick out the diecut you are going to use. You can use any diecut but for my card today I used "snapshot's" little quote bubbles. You must first cut out the diecut and measure the size with a ruler so you know how big you can make your fonts.

Next, on the computer, pick out font you want to use and look at the size using the ruler bar on top.
You can also change your color to match your theme too. I love black for most of my sentiments, but the choice is totally up to you! See what I mean about options? lol

After you are happy with your font and size go ahead and print it up on the computer paper.

OK....now using REMOVABLE adhesive tape place your diecut on top of your font.
I use the daylight or a lamp to see it through for exact placement.
*Tip*
If you made you font too large or too small...no worries.
You simple remove the diecut and print it up again until you are happy :)

Once you are satisfied with your placement place it back through the computer
and it should come out like this.

As you can see the ink should not be smeared or come through the other paper.
Remove the diecuts and place on your card or layout.
I tend to use pop dots behind mine, but once again it is up to you....
so many options...oh my! lol

Here is a closer view of your sentiments that make you look like a pro!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you try this tutorial out if you haven't tried it yet....
WARNING!!!
It is addicting and you may never use your handwriting again....lol
Hugs
xoxo

Heartfelt Wednesday's *Light Of My Life*

Welcome back to another Heartfelt Wednesday!
So today, I'm sharing with you a card showing off the NEW "countryside evening"
paper collection. If you are like me....you can't color very well... :(
However, there is hope because with these beautiful papers you don't have to :)
As you can see here, all you have to do is cut out the paper and add little flowers
to give it a great look with no coloring. Love it!

Here is a closer view of the tiny flowers from HC called "posy patches" and the matching diecut.
They are  perfect with this paper line and patterned paper.
They sentiment is from the NEW "countryside evening collection" called "antique lantern"
There is also the same lantern stamp with the set, if you are also at coloring too.
My dream someday....

I added cream ribbon and bow with baby breath for the finishing touches.
Pretty fast and easy to make because all the work really is done for you...
yet it looks like it took you hours to make....just lovely!

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to stop by
Heartfelt Creations Blog to see more beautiful projects by our DT.

There is Love in the Air

Hello again....
I wanted to make another Valentine's Day card using a sketch made by Tarynne Wise.
You can see it here.
It actually started off like the sketch and then it took a bit of a turn with some extra banners on the bottom....I also added lots of extras like the balloon, clouds, hearts, birds and bling.
I see a card on pinterest recently with the heart balloon and I loved it!!!
You can see the original here

I wasnt going to add any extra bling but then i thought it looked a bit like wind s I decided to add it.
The colors are inspired by new Valentine papers...it seems like kraft, red and teal go well together.
So sorry the pic is a little burry??? Idk?

Here you can see one of my favorite bird stamps that I seem to use a lot.
It is called "brookside manor" from Heartfelt Creations.
All the clouds and hearts were cut using my cricut...so it made this card fast to make too!

Hope you have a great day...see you soon....
Can you feel the LOVE in the air?
hugs

From My Heart *Mojo Monday # 275*

It's my Mojo Monday on Wednesday! lol
I just love the new sketch this week...so many fabulous layers....so it is right up my alley!
I was thinking about more Valentine's Day cards so I decided to go with pink.
I also wanted to add little pink hearts on the sides...plus beautiful bling, ribbon and of course a flower...

Can you believe I only added pop dots under the little hearts??? weird for me to do because I usually add lots more? But it worked out the way I wanted it to in the end.
Here is a closer view....

A side view of all the layering....I couldnt help myself in the center squares.

Here is the beautiful sketch by Julee Tilman....Thank you!

Thanks for stopping by...love all your lovely comments.
Have a great day!

I Love You SEW Much

 Happy Sunday!
Today I'm sharing with you a card that I have been wanting to make for a while now using little wooden spools of thread.
A few years ago I seen a layout that had these cute little spools of thread on it, so I bought the wooden pieces and it just sat around for a while.
I asked my husband to split them in have for me using his tools and it ended up being perfectly flat on the back. I wrapped embroidery floss around them and glue them in right on the card. Super cute embellishments and it gives it a nice 3D effect to your card or layout.

The little retro/vintage sewing machine was a photo online clipart and I sized it 2.5 inches and printed it out on the same cream cardstock. The beautiful hearts are from Heartfelt Creations "timeless amour" collection...getting ready for Valentine's Day cards? Well, then this is must have for your collection.

The beautiful diecut in cream in the background is from Cheery Lynn Designs called "Italian Flourish"
It was my first time using it....LOVE IT!
The cute patterned paper I have had for a long time from Cosmo Cricket.
I think it is from the Material Girl Collection.
I added some cream ruler ribbon, buttons, and some bling to finish this fun little card.

Thanks for stopping by today..hope you enjoyed.
hugs

I Just Adore You *Donna Salazar NEW Natural Beauty Collection*

Hello everyone! I sure hope you had a Happy New Year!
It's Lisa back with some fabulous new layouts and cards for the upcoming month's ahead.
Today, I am sharing with you a new layout that you might see at the upcoming CHA this month.
I used Donna Salazar's BEAUTIFUL new line of papers called "Natural Beauty" by GCD Studios.
Let me tell you....these papers are really AMAZING!!!
They are so soft and delicate but also have Donna's fabulous touch with denim and wood backgrounds.
This is a photo of my adorable little niece, Emma. She is such a doll! When I took this photo of her I was visiting my brother's New baby twin sons. Twins run in our family...I have them too :)
So as I was taking photos of the boys, my little Emma jumped in front of the camera and said to me...
"Auntie Lisa, take my picture too"...lol... kids say the cutest things :)

I used Want 2 Scrap corrugated swirls and the chipboard letters from the "natural beauty" collection.
I really like the size of these letters and they fit great right over the top of the swirls.
The birdcage was fussy cut out and it is a stamp called "Free As A Bird". It was stamped on cream cardstock with Donna's NEW Mix'd Media Chox-Driftwood. I also stamped on the cream background making my own paper using "All My Love"

I made lots of flowers using "Rose Creations" As you can see, you can curl them or crimp them to get different looks. Also a little bit closer view of the beautiful letters.

A 3D view of the flowers and cardboard pieces. It pops off the page just the right amount. :)

I'm so glad you stopped by and be sure to be looking for lots of new projects using Donna's NEW line of papers, because there are 3 of them!!! Yes 3!!! So exciting!!
Have a great New Year...
xoxo

Heartfelt Wednesday's *This Is Your Day*

Welcome to another Heartfelt Wednesday
It is the beginning of the month....and next week will be the reveal of our new collection for
January 2013! Soooo exciting!
Can you believe it is 2013? I never seem to know where time goes??
So today I'm sharing with a new card using more of the "Timeless Amour" collection.
This card was super duper fast to make....about 10 minutes.
When I made this card I was sooooo sick with the stomach flu and barely could do a thing let alone make a card for the week?? Somehow, I was able to make it quickly, unlike many cards I just can't seem to do? It was easy using the beautiful stamp...yes just one...it is great if your on a budget, especially after the holidays.

As you can see, I didn't add any extra flowers...but you really don't need to because of the flowers on the stamp. Just color,  add some ribbon, diecuts and bling. Done!

I did emboss the white background on this cool blue January card.
The pearls can be bought over at Heartfelt Creations too....be sure to check it out.

Thanks for stopping by in the NEW Year 2013!
