Clean and Simple

Happy Sunday!
Well, over the past month I have been on a card roll and many of the designs came from Verve sketch challenges over at splitcoaststampers... I really love their sketches and this was my first time joining their group...I will back next month too! I didn't know this but supposedly Clean and Simple (CAS) cards are in right now? It was really a challenge for me but this is what I came up with....it was hard not to keep adding things...but the best part was it only took 10 minutes to make....it took longer to upload it! lol
This is a standard white card that come with an envelope...6.5inches x 5inches and I used another piece of white cardstock embossed it with swiss dots added the black spellbinders border and red spellbinders tag...then I cut out 2 hearts one white and one red layered them printed "I Love You" on the heart and added red stickles....of course there are pop dots... :)

Can you see the pop dots? I think if there is one scrapbooking item I should get stock on, it would be pop dots! lol

Here is the original sketch by Shannan at VLV...
Hope you enjoyed this CAS card and it is fast enough for you to still make for Valentine's Day or any other day you just want to say "I Love You"

Heartfelt Wednesday's

Hi,
Welcome to the last Wednesday of this month and my Heartfelt Creation project for this week are about my too doggies. My Italian Greyhound is now 10 years old and well, my sweet Rotty passes away several years ago. I still miss him....
Working with the NEW CHATEAU GATE COLLECTION was really fun for me....I love love love the new Die Cuts, Exclusively with Heartfelt Creations. As I was looking at the Dusty attic products I seen one of their windows and I thought..."Hey, I can make them similar by sing the die cuts?" They they are....gorgeous huh? I will be making more of these soon! The best part of these die cuts is that you can use any color paper to match your whole theme....cool! Also, you can use them over and over and over again for just one price! Even better.....

All the flowers are made by using HC products....I cant seem to stop making roses lately?
Although, I did add this lily in here....I wanted to give it a bit of something else....

This huge flower is "Botanical Floral 1 & 2"....and work perfect with the Rose Creations.

Here is a close-up of my doggie "Louie" he thinks he is a king....lol...
He was so tiny and adorable when he was a puppy...awwww!
Check out the window frame...pretty nice huh? Hence the title...
"How Much Are The Doggies In The Window" arf-arf...like the song....lol
For full instructions on how to make this layout go to the HC Blog....

Heaven's Winter Roses

Ok, so I didn't think I would make another card so quickly....but it just fell right into place...love it! So this is an old verve sketch again....I am totally addicted to their amazing sketches!
I had made these purple roses originally for a scrapbook layout....however, it happened to be right before Christmas and the sad death in our family....so when I went back to finish the lo, well, it just didn't come together...so I just scrapped that idea and put the roses to the side....until today...yay! I was inspired to make this winter card by 2 people....my sister said that another winter storm went through Chicago...brrrr! and a sweet lady Maria over at sb.com had the most stunning photo of her view in Sweden....it was breathtaking!
This tall skinny card was super fun to make....thx verve and ladies!

Another angle, you can see how this card is really cool in size! This cut is 3.5 inches wide by 6 inches tall....just cut 3.5 inch inches wide from a 12 inch cardstock and fold in half....easy...

Hope you enjoyed my winter card and for those of you who live in those cold climates stay warm!

You Melt My Heart

Good Morning...Happy Sunday!
So last night I was in another chocolate mode...I think I finally have had enough? lol I recently seen the Basic Grey ad in my scrapbooks etc magazine and I loved the example from kissing booth papers. I dont own of those papers yet.... meanwhile I decided to use chocolate and teal together....I wanted to use another color for valentine's day that was not pink or red....
I actually didnt own the brown ribbon...i had to buy it....totally great color for v-day!

I added stickles throughout and doodled with a brown marker for stitches...someday I plan on taking a sewing class....

Hope you enjoyed another chocolate card!

I used Graphic 45- A Proper Gentlemen cardstock...it was perfect for the theme I was going for today. I added red and black paper to give it a bit of a romantic feel too...
This card is for the VLVJAN2012 #3 sketch @ verve....i just love their sketches..... :)

Red Hot Valentine!

Hi, So if you may have noticed I'm on the Valentine Day Card streak....? Well, here is a card I whipped together last night...It was super fast and came out how I imagined too...
I wanted to use up the left over bling from my Cozy Winter Wishes Card and I also wanted to use some of the red stripped ribbon that I bought for Christmas. Here is the finished card....
It is a 5 x 6 inch card....I think I'm really loving that size lately because it fits really nicely in an envelope to mail. Sorry you cant see the embossing better....AZ light being funny on me....

Another angle and I used some of my old neglected tiny prima roses....I'm glad they were the perfect red to match the darker red paper.... :)

So this was an easy card to make and took under an hour....it is great for your valentine this year.... :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Wednesday's

Good Morning,
So Lately I've been on this Pink and Cream kind-of streak?? This is another old photo of Roxy and using lots and lots of products from Heartfelt Creations! 15 of them to be exact...lol I really love how this layout came out....so springy and yet soft. I even added touches of grey...plus it did match the background in the photo. I wish the camera could capture the true beauty of this layout....be sure to look for at this 2012 conventions.
For complete instructions on how I made this 12 x 12 layout go to Heartfelt Creations Blog. There will also be a the products that I used from their amazing Stamps and Exclusive Die Cuts.

Here are a few close-ups:
Such gorgeous stamps to make custom matching colored flowers.

I used two different fonts to make the title...I thought it made it pop a bit more.

Love the little birdie....I will admit you really have to be careful while fussy cutting the vines because it is so small....but worth the end result...
Many ladies have asked me in the past about my daughter Roxy's skin...Yes it is that flawless and Yes that is a true Beauty Mark....lucky girl....

Thanks for stopping by....also don't forget to check out this week's inspiration at Heartfelt Creations Blog.

More Chocolate Please!

Hi, so last night I wanted to use more of the scraps that I had from the first chocolate card that I recently made. Of course, I do love chocolate too and when I was trying to get ideas out there in the scrapbooking and card world...I really didn't see anything that really caught my eye....?
So I started to look at cakes and such, when I seen this amazing chocolate cake photograph! It had chocolate cake layers with cream filling, then it was topped with luxurious chocolate drippings and pink roses....It truly was a beautiful piece of cake, which became my color theme for this card. As I was putting it together, I remembered a verve sketch that I seen recently from last year...it also became incorporated into the perfect chocolate card. Like it was meant to be....

I was trying to think of how I was going to make the drippings....then it reminded me that I had the MS drippings punch...omgosh! I cant believe I forgot???? too many things in my room sometimes...but I love them all! The beautiful scroll is from Heartfelt Creations NEW Chateau Gate Collection....I love the delicate details of this new diecut. As you can see, more roses from Donna Salazar too...I honestly can not stop making these roses.....lol

Hope you enjoyed some yummy chocolate again!

Cozy Winter Wishes Card

Hi, so like im on this card craze....and well, this card colors was inspired by my sister who said a winter storm was coming through chicago recently...brrrr....i live in az...and if we have to were a jacket outside it is already too cold! lol...but seriously, i remember those cold winter days and that is the colors that i chose for this card....creams and whites...
the basic sketch is from my new favorie place verve....but i of course had to add much more to the original sketch.... :)

My daughter gave me tip tonight on how to make the card lighter on photoshop....can you believe it is kind of dark and gloomy here today in az? well, unfortunately that means it will be colder in the midwest and east coasts....sorry.... :(

hope you enjoyed my winter card....brrrr....

Love Pink Valentine Card

Good Morning,
Yesterday, I was on this Valentine's Day mode and here is another card I made last night. It is such a PINKY card...lol...as some of you know Im not too fond of pink...but yet I have been on a pink streak? I have had this gold paper for quite some time now and it was perfect for the theme because there is gold on the patterned paper by Martha Stewart. Lots of layer here....it started off as a new verve sketch and then too a bit of a twist....love their sketches...makes it easier for me to make something quicker than normal for me.

I tried to really get the right lighting this morning so you can see how the gold really shines...
Also more handmade roses.....and I love the swirls from Heartfelt Creations....hope they get more soon...I cant stop using them! lol

See you soon....

Chocolate Card

Hello ladies,
I hope your having a great Saturday! This morning I was thinking about making a Valentine's Day card and immediately I think of CHOCOLATE! lol
I just love chocolate and I wanted to make a card that look like you could eat it. So it is mostly browns and a touch of red. Hershey is my favorite chocolate but Godiva chocolates uses lots of red ribbons with their boxes, so this is how I came up with the color base.
It is a 5x6 standing card, I used some Heartfelt Creations diecuts, spellbinders diecuts, and Donna Salazar rose diecuts, (I cant seem to stop making roses now?) lol
The white rose is prima....my poor pre-made flowers have been neglected lately....

Here is the side view.....easy card to make and it literally took under an hour! that is super fast for me! lol
This sketch was inspired by verve stamps. I added lots of extra goodies to the base of the card.
First time using a card sketch...i will be using many more...they are soooo amazing!

Hi, Im back today to share another funky folded card by Cheryl. I totally love the look of this card. I made this card for a friend of mine last night. She was having a bad day and I thought it might cheer her up...it did...:)
She LOVES PINK! So I wanted to make it the base of the card color. I made the intricate circle using the NEW chateau gate collection by Heartfelt Creations. Really simple to do with those amazing die cuts. I also used flower stamps from HC. You can never stop matching all of your papers again by using them....thank HC....
The punched leaves are from Punch Bunch. I love those tiny vines. I also added hearts and embossed the light pink background....no patterned paper here....perfect to make last minute.

Heartfelt Wednesday's

Hello everyone,
I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year! This year was a sad Christmas for us because we lost a family member right before the Christmas weekend.....
So I didn't have anything up last Wednesday...sorry to my followers looking for inspiration from me that week. However, I was able to make this card and it was made thinking of God and how we should all "Love One Another" all the time. The card itself is a funky folded card by Cheryl. It came be seen here. So super easy to make and it is a great size to send too. Vintage colors and papers are so in and I think this fell right into that category. The lighting makes it look more white but really it is cream with distressing inks. For the full tutorial go to Heartfelt Creation Blog this week.

Here is the side view of the funky card...thx Cheryl!

Heartfelt Thanks Card

Hi,
Tonight I made this card that was scraplifted from the amazing and talented card maker Kittie. Her blog can be found here. I am so inspired by all of her amazing cards. This is just one of them...hers is much more beautiful....but I sure tried! lol
I used Donna Salazar, Punch Bunch, and Heartfelt Creations Die Cuts throughout....
I made this card for a dear friend, who recently gave me something and didnt ask for anything in return. So hard to find such heartwarming and generous God giving friends....so I sure feel lucky to know her....thanks sweetie!

With more flowers...after I remembered I had a tiny flower punch...lol

Original card....I like them both...but adding more flowers made it really flourish

Here is one of the side views.

Here is the other side view....I also added a tag made with my cricut and printed the "Heartfelt Thanks" on it.
