Heartfelt Wednesday's *Happy New Year*

Hello everyone, I sure hope for those of you that celebrate Christmas it sure was a great day!
I had a nice time with my family here in AZ.
Now that Christmas is over, Im getting ready for New Years' Eve and my new
resolutions for the upcoming year...still thinking? lol
So I wanted to make a New Year's Eve/ Day card this week for Heartfelt Creations

I dont usually do the insides until Im ready to use them but I wanted to use more of the new
"timeless amour papers"
Red is my favorite color and I dont use it at much as I would like to...
but it really matched the clock from Tim Holtz. It is a red tinge.

I also add just a couple of flowers from HC called "vintage floret"
The diecut frames I just received recently called "decorative label eight"
and you can also buy them over at the Heartfelt Creations Products.

Hope everyone has a safe upcoming New Years!
Be sure to check out more creations and sneak peeks to the new collection coming soon with
Have a great day!

Proud Of You! *Donna Salazar*

Hi, Its Lisa once again this month sharing with you a
New Layout of my daughter and my mother this past spring
during my daughter's 2012 College Graduation.
Im soooo Proud Of You!
Recently, I seemed to have lost my mojo for layouts
but it came easy this time using the great papers
that matched my daughter's cap and gown from ASU
from the Botanique Collection and fun swirls matching the background by Donna.

Here you can see the beautiful roses from "bitty blossoms" and "rose creations"
they really go great with the patterned papers that have roses printed on them.
Loving the swirls huh? me too!

I used some left over sprockets that I had from another project and I fussy cut out the roses with harps.
The sentiments are on the "botanique paper" and I used my fancy tags to cut them out.

Here you can see a 3D view of the layering. Lots of distressed edges and
I also used my crimper to match the awesome swirls too. :)

Hope you enjoyed my layout for I really am proud to scrap this photo
of my daughter and my mother....to me it is priceless.
Have a great Holiday Season and see you next year!
Hugs

Heartfelt Wednesday's *4 U @ Christmas*

Welcome back to another Heartfelt Wednesday!
Since Christmas is just around the corner, why not try to squeeze in a few more cards?
Today I used some the "frosty blanket paper collection" This paper has blue and red on it.
So I thought it would be some great colors to use instead of the traditional red and greens.
Lots of layering on this card but it is sure worth the ending results.

Here you can see some of the pop dots raising up the the ornaments.
The tiny little poinsettia on top of the ribbon is part of my favorite stamps.

I added lots of pearls to give this christmas card a glamorous feeling to it.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out more ideas at the Heartfelt Creations Blog today.
Have a great Christmas!

Christmas Blue Jean Gift Card * Donna Salazar*

Hello my scrappy friends!
It's Lisa back again with a new tutorial gift card perfect for this holiday season or anytime of the year.
This gift card is great for teenagers and those of us who love blue jeans,
but also you can write an entire sentiment inside too because it is a regular card.
So here is the finished card, I love red but you can use your favorite colors
since blue jeans go with everything. :)

A little closer view of the "jean pocket" and fabulous "bitty blossoms" roses.

So lets get started...should take about 30 minutes...yep that's it!
First, cut a piece of kraft cardstock 5 x 10 inches long then fold in half at 5 inches.

Cut a piece of 4.75 x 4.75 inches "storybook paper" and stamp the "tattered" with "denim mix'd media inx and demin embossing power" dry with embossing tool. *It is 1 inch on the left.*

Diecut 2 smallest "pocket and swirls"

Distress all 3 pieces with your "zutter"
I also doodled with a white signo pen the lines on the smaller "pocket"
You can also sew on it if you like.

Using the NEW "Chox" in driftwood chalk the edges of the card.
Cut a piece of kraft to place behind the pocket, distress with the "zutter" and chalk edges.
Add rustic brads to match the kraft in the corners.

Next choose your ribbon color and wrap around the "storybook paper" before
you glue it down to your base of the card.
Add small pop dots behind the "pocket"

Make 2 medium and 1 large "bitty blossoms" and glitter using "fairy dust glitter"
pralines and cream and "glue gloss"

Glue down as shown here and add the "hand drawn corrugated swirls"
Make a tag with sentiment in kraft and chalk edges with "chox" driftwood.
Add a matching bow on the top.
Don't forget to place a gift card or $$$ in the pocket. :)

Your gift card is ready to go with lots of love.
Hope you were inspired to make yours soon!
Have a great holiday season.

Heartfelt Wednesday's "Beautiful 2 Me"

Happy Wednesday! So today I will have 2 posts to share with you....
but here is the first one in the morning with Heartfelt Creations
The "Timeless Amour" Paper Collection already has these beautiful sentiments
all ready to go. Nice huh? Makes it easier and faster to make a card.

The beautiful flowers are from last month's collection called "vintage floret
They sure are a must have if you like making your own flowers.

Here you can see I added some glitter and pearls all around the frame.
I was thinking about ribbon??? but then I thought it might get a bit too busy...

Butter Cookie Card

Wow! Its Monday already!
Another week of work....blah!
I wish I could scrap/card make everyday!
Today's card was inspired by my new Swiss Colony catalog for the holiday season.
My mother loves those butter cookies with the red jelly in the middle.
When I think of the holiday and Christmas....I miss my mother being near me... :(
Maybe next year?

This is my card with red jelly butter cookies. I really was trying to think of a way to get the lines in the middle of the cookies but then I decided to add glitter to the tops instead.
The centers are rd paper with diamond glaze to give it that jelly look.
This card is also a sketch by Tarynne Wise for this months card challenge at scrapbook.com

The sentiment was printed on the computer and then I used ribbon banners to cut it out.

I even tried to make a little wisk next to the bow out of thin wire...lol
See the shiny jelly and the sugar on top?
Im not sure if they look like butter cookies...but I sure tried!

Well have a sweet week!
hugs!

Winter Wonderland

Happy Sunday!
Today, Im sharing with you a new 5 x 5 inch card that took me a while to make,
but Im so super happy with the ending results....so beautiful IRL.
I seen this amazing card called "Winter Scene" by Pat Smethers a long time ago.
I cant seem to find it to link it here? If you know please be sure to tell me. Thx
I loved loved loved the whole forest winter scene.
The original card had a beautiful church. I wanted to use a birdhouse and
my favorite little birds from HC "brookside manor" I used Donna Salazar's
NEW Chox for the stamping of the birds...the colors are so bold and vibrant.

Lots of layering those stamped trees. I used clear embossing ink and then covered it with
"jasmine mixd media embossing powder" Love that embossing powder it never lets me down with the amazing whiteness. The tree stamps are also from HC "classic edition" and I just fussy cut them out.
The tiny branches are made with "Punch Bunch", but Martha's punch will do great too.

Here you can see my new "liquid applique" snow that I recently bought.
I love it even more than flower soft now.
Less messy too....:)
It also would be awesome for foam on a coffee card (I seen a sample)
coming soon!
I know it has been out for a while...lol..Im a little late with the latest things sometimes....
I added a small bow on the bottom because I just thought it needed it.

Well, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great Sunday!
Hugs

Peaceful Christmas

Hello everyone!
Well, it is December 1st already and time to get some more Christmas cards going...
This card is much larger than I usually make it is 5 x 7 inches. I was inspired by the 12 days of Christmas with Prima and the beautiful card made by Steph Devlin. I didnt get the chance to get in on time for the challenge...but I knew I loved the neutral colors and wanted to make something similar.
The vellum snowflake is 2 placed together and I hand doodled on them. I made them a super long time ago for a layout and never used them. I finally was able to bring them out and use them. woo hoo!

The delicate cream swirl behind the snowflake is from memory box and the delicate swirls on the sides are from cherry lynn designs. I used the last of my bling swirls...need to shop! lol
The crystal snowflakes in the background my daughter gave to me a while ago. I dont know where or who makes them? so sorry...

The papers I found on clearance at a local scrapbook store that was closing down :(
They are from imaginance and I used my cricut to cut the shape.
The cricut shape is from sentimentals.
Last, but not least, is the title and rose from prima.

Have a great and peaceful holiday season!
xoxo
